There are many celebrity-founded spirit brands, especially in the whiskey category, but only one can say it’s the first official whiskey of Major League Baseball.
Traveller Blended Whiskey, which was co-created by Buffalo Trace Distillery's master distiller Harlen Wheatley and Grammy-winning country music performer Chris Stapleton, has been named the MLB’s official premier whiskey partner in a multiyear agreement.
The partnership will include “360-degree” marketing that will highlight the whiskey across various media during game broadcasts, as well as via social and digital content, including during the MLB Power Rankings and in-store at MLB retail locations across the U.S.
"Harlen, Chris and the Buffalo Trace team have created this standout brand in a very competitive, popular space,” said Uzma Rawn Dowler, MLB CMO and senior vice president, global corporate partnerships, in the announcement. "Between record levels of MLB fan engagement, All-Star Week in Atlanta and the Speedway Classic, this is a great year for Traveller and MLB to start working together."

Fan activations will also be part of Traveller’s marketing mix, including on-site events during 2025 MLB All-Star Week and the MLB Speedway Classic. Fans will have also the chance to win free entrance to MLB games via a sweepstakes offered on the brand’s social platforms, @TravellerWhiskey and @MLB on Instagram and Facebook.
Buffalo Trace Distillery, located in Frankfort, Kentucky, is a family-owned business producing bourbon, rye and vodka and is also a National Historic Landmark as well as listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
